What is CBD?

CBD stands for cannabidiol and is a natural compound found in the cannabis plant family. It is one of the most beneficial cannabinoids and is mostly found in hemp plants.

What does full spectrum CBD mean?

Full spectrum CBD refers to the pure oil extraction process from the hemp plant. It includes all the beneficial cannabinoids, terpenes, essential vitamins, proteins and fatty acids of the plant.

What is a CBD isolate?

CBD isolate has been refined to include only the CBD compound without any additional cannabinoids or terpenes. It is derived from the hemp plant, but all other matter has been removed.

Can my pet overdose?

It is highly unlikely and safe even in large amounts. Excessive amounts may cause drowsiness and possibly diarrhea from the oil used to mix with the CBD.

My pet takes other medications. Is CBD alright to take with them?

It has been found that there are no contraindications when using full spectrum hemp or isolate and other medications.

How do hemp products work with the body?

Hemp products work through several complex receptors in a pet’s body. Hemp products work to supplement the animal’s ECS system (Endocannabinoid System) which helps the body’s immune, central nervous and digestive systems maintain balance.

Does CBD have any psychoactive effects?

No, CBD will not get your pet high. CBD can have a calming effect.

How long will it take to work and how long does it last?

Results are generally seen within 20-30 minutes, will peak in 1-2 hours and can last 4-8 hours. See manufacturer’s instructions for specific use.

Do I need a prescription?

CBD products do not require a prescription. However, we always recommend letting your vet know you have introduced CBD products into your pet’s daily regimen.

Is CBD regulated?

CBD is currently regulated by the US Food and Drug Administration, however enforcement is low except for the claims that a product can make. This is being addressed and is a reminder that you must only buy CBD from well-researched and trusted companies.

How can CBD benefit my pet?

CBD may promote calmness, healthy immune and digestive systems, healthy hips and joints and normal inflammatory response. It can also help support their overall wellness.

Do healthy pets benefit from CBD?

Of course! All pets no matter their age or health status can benefit from introducing CBD on a regular basis.

Can my pet get addicted to CBD?

There is no evidence that CBD is addictive.

How do I know that the product contains what it says on the label?

How do I know which format to give to my pet (liquid or treat)?

This all depends on your pet and whether they will allow you to put the dropper into their mouth. Liquid is more economical than a treat, but some pets will only take it in that format. Search our site to help determine what is best for your pet.

What is your return policy?

Typically, we are unable to take back returns for opened products. However, if you are not fully satisfied with your purchase, you may request a full refund on the purchase price within 30 days. Please contact Customer Service to initiate your request.

How should I store my CBD?

CBD does not have to be refrigerated but should be stored in a cool/dry place and not exposed to any direct sunlight or heat.
